Job Description Senior Structural Engineer | Bristol n n We’re working with an established engineering consultancy looking to strengthen its Bristol team with an experienced Senior Structural Engineer. n n This is a client-facing position leading building design projects across a varied portfolio including residential, commercial, industrial, education and healthcare. n n You’ll take projects through design and delivery, coordinate with architects and wider design teams, and provide technical leadership to engineers and technicians within the team. n n They’re looking for someone with strong UK consultancy experience who is confident designing across reinforced concrete, steel, timber and masonry, and has already taken responsibility for leading building structures projects. n n What You Will Be Doing n n Lead structural design projects from concept through to completion across a varied portfolio of building projects. n Develop practical and efficient structural solutions using reinforced concrete, steel, timber and masonry. n Manage and coordinate engineers and technicians, allocating resources and ensuring project information is delivered accurately, on time and within budget. n Work closely with architects, clients and multidisciplinary design teams to develop coordinated structural solutions that support the wider design intent. n Produce and review structural calculations, drawings, specifications and technical documentation, ensuring designs are appropriately checked before issue. n Attend client, design team and site meetings, taking a proactive role in project communication and delivery. n Ensure structural designs consider buildability, sustainability, health and safety and relevant technical requirements throughout the design process. n Support the commercial delivery of projects, including preparing fee proposals and contributing to new project opportunities. n n n Skills & Experience Required n n Strong structural engineering experience gained within a UK engineering consultancy environment. n Proven experience leading the structural design and delivery of building projects. n Good design experience across the principal structural materials including reinforced concrete, steel, timber and masonry. n Project experience across sectors such as residential, commercial, industrial, education or healthcare. n Strong technical understanding of building structures with the ability to develop practical and commercially appropriate design solutions. n Confident working directly with clients, architects and multidisciplinary design teams. n Experience coordinating and supporting engineers and technicians within a project environment. n Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a closely related discipline. n Good commercial awareness with the ability to manage deadlines, resources and project requirements. n Proficient with AutoCAD and relevant structural design software. n n n Summary n Position : Senior Structural Engineer n Location : Bristol n Salary : £50,000 – £55,000 + Benefits n Type : Permanent n Start : Notice dependent n n This is an opportunity for an experienced Structural Engineer to take a leading role within a consultancy environment, delivering a varied portfolio of building structures projects while supporting the development of the wider Bristol team. n n Apply now or contact the Kiota team for more information. n n JBRP1_UKTJ
