The Opportunity
Wicker Hamilton has been exclusively instructed by an established international business to appoint a Senior In-House Counsel to its London legal team.
This is a broad, commercially focused position offering significant exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to play an influential role within a growing organisation.
Strong insurance experience, ideally within the London insurance market, is essential.
The Role
Working closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation, you will provide pragmatic legal advice across a varied range of commercial and strategic matters.
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing commercial and strategic legal advice to the business
- Advising on insurance-related legal and regulatory matters
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements
- Supporting senior stakeholders on complex and business-critical matters
- Identifying and managing legal and regulatory risk
- Working collaboratively with teams across the wider international business
- Managing external counsel where appropriate
Candidate Profile
We are interested in speaking with lawyers who:
- Have strong insurance sector experience
- Have a good understanding of the London insurance market
- Can provide practical, commercially focused legal advice
- Are comfortable working directly with senior business stakeholders
- Have excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills
