Job Description A leading tech company specialising in data management have an immediate requirement for an experienced C/Linux Software Developer. n Key Skills: Software Developer, Software Engineer, C, Linux, Autotools, LDAP, Active Directory, Terraform, OpenTofu, API n Location: Hybrid but must be able to reach the office near Lymington – SO41 9AZ n Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 + benefits n Essential Skills n n Experience developing application code in C on Linux n Working with Linux build systems, (mainly Autotools) n n Identity & Authentication knowledge: n n LDAP / Active Directory integration (e.g. via OpenLDAP’s libldap) n OpenID Connect / OAuth 2.0 (e.g. via liboauth2) n Understanding of credential handling, token validation, and session management n Awareness of identity-related security concerns (trust boundaries, configuration errors, credential leakage) n n Automated Deployment: n n Experience with automated provisioning (e.g. Terraform/OpenTofu) n Familiarity with common cloud platforms and virtualisation environments (e.g. AWS, Azure, OpenStack, VMware) n Exposure to cloud-init or equitant system initialisation frameworks and how they operate at a low level n Understanding of secure configuration delivery and deployment auditability of newly provisioned systems n n API Design & Implementation (maybe): n n Experience / Familiarity with: n n Working with OpenAPI (Swagger) specifications to define service interfaces n Implementing APIs in C or similarly low-level environments, without reliance on full-stack frameworks n Designing for defensive input handling and error management n n n n JBRP1_UKTJ
