We work as an integrated, student-focused service, using our expertise, insight and technology to deliver excellent services and support student success. Our teams work collaboratively across the University, fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture that promotes wellbeing, development and opportunity for all.

About the Student Hub

The Student Hub forms part of The Registry and is at the heart of the student experience, providing expert advice, guidance and support to prospective and current students from application through to graduation. Working within a fast-paced and customer-focused environment, the team supports a diverse student population across a range of areas including enrolment, student finance, immigration and visa advice, sponsorship requirements, compliance, and student lifecycle services.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced student services professional to play a key role in leading the delivery of high-quality advice, guidance, and support to prospective and current students throughout their university journey. As Senior Student Hub Officer, you will provide specialist expertise across a broad range of areas, including student finance, immigration and visa regulations, international student compliance, sponsorship requirements, and student support processes.

Working within a specialist Student Hub team, you will oversee day-to-day operations, support the development and performance of staff, and act as the escalation point for complex student enquiries and casework. You will contribute to ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining high service standards, and delivering an outstanding student experience.

The role requires strong relationship-building skills, working collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders to support student success and service excellence. You will also analyse and utilise data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement, while contributing to key University activities such as enrolment, graduation, open days, applicant events, and international student initiatives. In addition, you may design and deliver workshops, training sessions, and guidance events for students and colleagues.

With line management responsibility, this role offers an excellent opportunity to further develop expertise in student support, compliance, regulatory governance, and higher education operations. Flexibility will be required to support key events and activities, including occasional travel between University sites and work outside normal office hours when necessary.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the student experience while developing specialist expertise within a dynamic and evolving higher education environment.

About You

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused professional with proven experience of leading teams and delivering high-quality services within a compliance, governance, student support, or regulatory environment. This role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys managing people, navigating complex regulations, and driving service excellence.

The successful candidate will have experience of motivating and developing teams, alongside a strong understanding of compliance and governance processes. You will be confident interpreting and applying legislation, regulations, and policy requirements, providing accurate advice and guidance to a diverse range of customers and stakeholders. Strong communication, relationship-building, organisational, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to manage competing priorities and perform effectively within a fast-paced environment.

You will be committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, using a proactive and solutions-focused approach. Experience within higher education, student support services, immigration compliance, UKVI regulations, or student finance would be particularly advantageous.
