Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java backend development and hands-on experience with Neo4j Graph Database. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend systems and graph-based data solutions. The role requires strong technical leadership, architecture skills, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java technologies.
• Architect and implement graph-based solutions using Neo4j for complex relationship-driven data models.
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices-based applications.
• Optimize database design, Cypher queries, and graph traversals for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Drive software design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions.
• Ensure application security, reliability, availability, and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, conducting root cause analysis when required.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and promote engineering best practices.
• Participate in architecture decisions and contribute to platform roadmap initiatives.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps practices for seamless deployments.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of software development experience in enterprise applications.
• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience working with Neo4j or other graph databases.
• Proven experience building large-scale distributed systems and microservices.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Graph Data Science (GDS) library and graph analytics.
• Experience in knowledge graphs, recommendation engines, fraud detection, or network analysis platforms.
• Certifications in Java, Cloud Technologies, or Neo4j.
• Experience working in high-volume, customer-facing platforms.
