Project Coordinator

My client is looking for a Project Services Coordinator to join their team in Newport on a permanent, full-time basis. Working within the Project Services team, the successful candidate will work alongside the estimating, sales, manufacturing and technical design teams to support the delivery of projects from initial enquiry through to completion.

The Project Services Coordinator will ideally have the following attributes:

• Previous experience working within a technical role, ideally within a technical or construction environment
• Excellent communication and written skills
• Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
• Able to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
• Self-motivated, organised and proactive
• Excellent attention to detail
• Confident communicating with personnel at all levels
• Strong drive to succeed and develop within the role
• Understanding of AutoCAD and SolidWorks would be advantageous
• Product or industry knowledge would be beneficial
• Willingness to develop proficiency in technical design software and project management tools
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

The Project Services Coordinator role will involve:

• Assisting with the preparation of estimates, quotations and project cost calculations
• Supporting the creation and management of technical documentation
• Assisting with the preparation and interpretation of engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Supporting purchasing and ordering activities with suppliers and subcontractors
• Coordinating project information between customers, suppliers and internal teams
• Monitoring project progress and helping to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved
• Assisting with manufacturing and production planning activities
• Supporting quality, compliance and documentation requirements
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and project processes
• Working closely with estimating, sales, manufacturing and technical design teams throughout the project lifecycle
• Developing knowledge and proficiency in technical design software and project management tools

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm.
