We’re looking for an ambitious Corporate Banking Director to join a growing Origination team and play a key role in expanding its presence across the Midlands.
This is a genuine front-office origination role for an experienced banker who enjoys being out in the market, building senior relationships and winning new lending opportunities.
You’ll have the freedom to develop your own network, build a strong external profile and take ownership of new business from initial conversation through to completion.
We’re ideally looking for an established Director with a strong Midlands network and proven origination track record, but would also consider an exceptional Associate Director ready to step up.
The Opportunity
- Originate new Corporate and Commercial Banking opportunities across the Midlands.
- Build senior relationships with CEOs, CFOs, business owners, advisers, sponsors and intermediaries.
- Develop and manage a high-quality pipeline across corporates, PLCs and PE-backed businesses.
- Identify, structure and deliver new lending opportunities through to completion.
- Take ownership of client relationships and work closely with Credit, Product and wider teams.
- Build your profile and network across the Midlands market.
- Play a key role in the continued growth of the Corporate & Commercial Banking franchise.
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
- Proven experience in Corporate or Commercial Banking origination/business development.
- A strong Midlands network, or the ability to build one quickly.
- A track record of winning new lending business and developing senior relationships.
- Strong knowledge of corporate and commercial lending solutions.
- Confidence engaging with senior decision-makers and professional intermediaries.
- Strong commercial judgement and a genuine appetite for new business.
