Job Description Ready to take the lead on projects that make a real impact? n Our client is looking for an experienced and driven Project Delivery Engineer to join their team in Burnley. n Reporting to the Senior Project Delivery Manager, you will play a key role in delivering projects safely, efficiently and successfully — working closely with engineering, fabrication, welding, coating, production and commercial teams to ensure our projects are delivered to the highest standards. n This is an exciting opportunity for someone who combines strong project delivery skills with hands-on fabrication experience and who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where no two projects are the same. n What you’ll be doing n You will take an active role throughout the project lifecycle, helping to coordinate people, resources, production and documentation while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, delivery and commercial performance. n Project Delivery & Coordination n ·Coordinate and support the successful delivery of projects from mobilisation through to completion. n ·Work closely with Engineering, Fabrication, Welding, Coating, Production and Commercial teams to ensure project requirements are met. n ·Coordinate people, equipment, materials and resources to keep projects on track. n ·Support the development and management of project plans, production schedules and project reporting. n ·Monitor project progress, milestones, dependencies and critical paths, taking action where required. n ·Identify potential issues, risks and delays early and work proactively to resolve them. n ·Manage changes to project scope and support the development of contingency plans where required. n ·Ensure project documentation is completed accurately and on time, working closely with the Engineering team. n ·Communicate project expectations, progress and requirements clearly to internal teams, clients and stakeholders. n ·Produce progress reports, proposals, presentations and other project documentation as required. n ·Deputise for the Senior Project Delivery Manager when required. n ·Lead or support project close-out activities, capturing lessons learned and identifying opportunities to improve future project delivery. n Fabrication & Technical Experience n Your fabrication experience will be an important part of this role. n We are particularly interested in candidates who have a strong understanding of fabrication operations and manufacturing processes and can confidently work with production and workshop teams. n You will use your technical knowledge to: n ·Understand fabrication requirements, processes and production constraints. n ·Work closely with welding and fabrication teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently. n ·Help identify practical solutions to technical and production challenges. n ·Coordinate the availability of equipment, personnel and materials. n ·Understand how engineering requirements translate into practical fabrication and production activities. n ·Support the identification and resolution of issues that could impact project delivery. n Commercial Support n You will also contribute to the commercial success of our projects by: n ·Monitoring project costs and supporting delivery against agreed budgets and margins. n ·Identifying opportunities to increase revenue and minimise potential margin erosion. n ·Supporting the Commercial Manager with contractual requirements, applications and invoicing. n ·Assisting with project forecasting and month-end reporting. n ·Reviewing project labour and cost information to support accurate financial reporting. n ·Supporting the management of aged debt and unbilled revenue. n What we’re looking for n We’re looking for someone who can combine technical knowledge, fabrication experience and strong project delivery skills. n Essential experience n ·Proven experience in project operations and project delivery. n ·Previous experience within a fabrication, welding, manufacturing or engineering environment. n ·Strong understanding of fabrication processes and workshop operations. n ·Experience coordinating people, equipment, materials and resources. n ·Excellent organisational and communication skills. n ·Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of project costs and margins. n ·Ability to identify problems, make decisions and deliver practical solutions. n ·Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure. n ·Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to work with colleagues, customers and stakeholders at all levels. n ·A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a wider project delivery team. n
