Trainline is an independent rail platform that helps travellers find and book rail and coach journeys through its app, website, and partner channels. Its backend teams build journey search and eCommerce functionality and connect the platform to travel operators.

• Deliver new functionality and features using appropriate tools and techniques




• Ensure quality is central to the team’s work




• Continuously improve the codebase




• Prioritise customers




• Identify and remove blockers, inefficiencies, and waste




• Contribute significantly to technical decisions




• Coach and mentor team members




• Own the development lifecycle from code to production, including deployment and monitoring

Требования

• Experience mentoring less experienced engineers and pair-programming with colleagues




• Hands-on experience with C# .NET and its latest features




• Experience collaborating with front-end engineers and other disciplines to deliver end-to-end features and cross-functional epics




• Experience with identity and authentication systems such as IdentityServer, OpenID Connect, or OAuth2




• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines




• Experience with cloud platforms




• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform




• Strong experience with observability practices, including logging, monitoring, and alerting




• Familiarity with New Relic, ELK Stack, or equivalent tools




• Curiosity about AI and emerging tools




• Experience supporting production systems and improving reliability




• Strong experience building and operating microservices architectures




• Experience with event-driven systems and asynchronous messaging patterns




• Solid understanding of distributed systems and scalability challenges




• Excellent communication skills
