Our client, a global engineering business specialising in advanced aerospace systems and components, are looking for a Lead Electro-Mechanical Engineer in Gloucester to join their team on a permanent basis.This is a senior technical role leading the definition, development and integration of complex electro-mechanical actuation and control systems across the full engineering lifecycle.Key responsibilities of the Lead Electro-Mechanical Engineer job based in Gloucester:Lead system-level requirements, architecture definition, integration and validationProvide technical oversight of electro-mechanical actuation systems incorporating motors, braking systems, sensors, solenoids and control electronicsLead multidisciplinary engineering teams and drive system-level technical decisionsManage technical relationships with suppliers, reviewing designs, qualification evidence and technical changesDefine and lead system integration strategies and resolve complex system-level issuesOversee verification, validation and certification activities against relevant aerospace and military standardsLead technical reviews, risk assessments and system-level trade studiesSupport production, flight test and in-service investigations, including root-cause analysisDrive continuous improvement across systems engineering processes, tools and practicesExperience required for the Lead Electro-Mechanical Engineer job based in Gloucester:Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or Systems EngineeringExtensive experience with aerospace actuation systems or other high-integrity systemsStrong systems engineering experience covering architecture, integration, requirements and V&VExperience using requirements management tools such as DOORS, Polarion or equivalentProven experience leading supplier technical activities and design reviewsExperience working to DO-178 and DO-254 requirementsStrong understanding of engineering drawings and interface specificationsExperience with modelling, simulation, MBSE/SysML or safety/reliability engineering desirableStrong technical leadership, communication and problem-solving skillsUK national with the ability to attain BPSS and SC security clearanceIf this Lead Electro-Mechanical Engineer job based in Gloucester could be of interest, please send your CV to
