Hub 1:2:1 Support Worker – Part-Time (Sheerness)

We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate 1:2:1 Support Worker to join our Sheerness Hub , providing individual support to a Member during their time with us.

What’s the role?
This is a 1:2:1 support role , giving you the opportunity to get to know the person you support and help them make the most of their time at Sheerness Hub.
You’ll provide individual support during Hub sessions and lunchtimes , helping the Member participate, develop their independence and enjoy a positive and fulfilling experience at the Hub. The role is for 18.5 hours per week, with shifts of at least 6.5 hours falling between 8am and 8pm , across no more than three days per week.
The Member requires specific health support, so epilepsy and buccal medication training will be provided .
You might have just finished your Health and Social Care training, already be an experienced Support Worker, or have the right attitude and be keen to develop your skills.
This role requires you to be working at Level 2/NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care .
Unlike some of our Support Worker vacancies, being a driver is not essential for this role .
There’s no getting away from it, support work isn’t always easy, but there is great job satisfaction in knowing that what you do can make a real difference to someone’s life.
People with experience of supporting people with a learning disability are great candidates, as are those who have the right attitude, compassion and aptitude to provide excellent person-centred support.
