Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and detail-focusedFinance Assistantto join our friendly and collaborative team in Belfast.
This is a varied opportunity that will give you exposure to a broad range of day-to-day finance activities, including accounts payable, sales invoicing, reconciliations, employee expenses and reporting. You will be joining a busy and interesting organisation where accuracy, teamwork and a proactive approach are highly valued.
What you’ll be doing
As a Finance Assistant, you will support the wider finance function with the accurate and timely completion of key financial processes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting theaccounts payableprocess, helping to ensure supplier invoices are reviewed, recorded and handled accurately.
- Reviewingpurchase ordersand checking that the supporting information is complete and correct.
- Responding tosupplier queriesin a professional and timely way, working with internal colleagues where further information is required.
- Completingsupplier statement reconciliations, identifying differences and helping to resolve outstanding items.
- Supporting the preparation and processing ofsales invoices.
- Carrying outbalance sheet reconciliationsand investigating discrepancies where appropriate.
- Reviewingemployee expense claimsto help ensure they are accurate and supported by the necessary information.
- Preparingad hoc reportsto support the finance team and wider business.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring information is handled carefully.
- Supporting the finance team with other administrative and financial duties as required.
