Assistant Maintenance Engineer

Join our modern, automated Fortrie Packing Centre near Turriff as an Assistant Maintenance Engineer, working alongside our Maintenance Engineer to keep our grading and packing equipment operating smoothly.

The Role

You’ll support the Maintenance Engineer with:

• Maintaining grading and packing equipment, including Egg Grader, Loader, Packing Robots, Box Taper, Scanners and Egg Printers
• Carrying out routine servicing and equipment checks
• Checking and calibrating equipment
• Troubleshooting faults and responding promptly to equipment breakdowns
• Carrying out quality inspections
• Supporting new developments and improvements

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with engineering experience, a practical mindset and the aptitude and enthusiasm to learn.

You don’t need to have experience with all of the equipment or skills listed above. Training will be provided.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has engineering experience, ideally in a factory or similar environment
• Has good communication skills and a proactive approach
• Can work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Is keen to develop their skills and build a long term career
