You will work on new product development while also helping modernise and support existing and legacy control systems.The company is open-minded regarding your technical background. You could come from PLC automation, embedded systems, industrial software or a combination of these areas.The role will include:Designing control and automation systems for new productsDeveloping software applications, HMIs and user interfacesSpecifying PLCs, motor controllers, control hardware and electronic componentsIntegrating controls, software and hardware into complete productsWorking with suppliers and subcontractors on components, firmware and softwareSupporting and troubleshooting existing and legacy control systemsContributing to design reviews, project plans and technical documentationWorking closely with Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Manufacturing teamsHelping improve engineering processes, documentation and product complianceInvestigating new technologies, platforms and development toolsWe’re looking for experience in some of the following areas:PLCs, soft PLCs, HMIs or industrial control systemsCODESYS or IEC 61131-3 Structured TextPython, C, C#, JavaScript, HTML or CSSPC-based or web-based control applicationsMicroprocessors, electronics or single-board computersMotor controllers, instrumentation or interface hardwareSoftware version controlControls integration within manufactured equipment or machinerySupporting and upgrading legacy control systemsYou do not need to have worked with every technology listed.
