What does the Clinical Chemistry team do?
The Randox Laboratories Clinical Chemistry R&D Department are responsible for the design & development of diagnostic reagent kits. The team perform all design and development activities throughout the IVD development life cycle, including product concept, feasibility/optimisation, design verification, and clinical validation to support regulatory filings.
Location: Randox Science Park, 30 Randalstown Road, Antrim, BT41 4LH.
Contract Offered: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours / Shifts: 7am to 6.40pm, Monday to Thursday. Some flexibility may be required.

Please note that this role requires candidates to have the legal right to work in the UK for a minimum of 12 months from the application date. What does this role involve?
This role is responsible for the development and optimisation of biochemistry based IVD assays for both established and novel biomarkers and life-cycle support of commercialised products. This main duties of the role include:
Support the generation of comprehensive verification and validation data packages to support registration and commercialisation of IVD products and instruments. Generation and analysis of assay performance data. Completion of quality documentation in accordance with the Randox QMS. The meeting of targets on established R&D projects. The familiarisation of current methods and technologies on a given project. Detailed completion of reports demonstrating rigorous analysis of results. Continual improvement and assessment of existing products. Transferring of product to manufacturing in accordance with company procedures. The operation and routine maintenance of various types of departmental equipment and analytical instruments.
Who can apply?
Essential criteria:
Be qualified to at least undergraduate level in Biochemistry, Chemistry or a Life Science subject. Previous experience in analysis and documentation of large datasets. Previous laboratory experience or training. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Desirable:
Previous experience in a laboratory based job. Experience in design and development of IVD products. Experience in the use of photometric clinical chemistry analysers. Previous experience in an ISO accredited environment.
