AP Lead Belfast (Hybrid)
We are delighted to be partnering with a leading global organisation to recruit an AP Lead for their finance team based in Belfast.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering the chance to lead an established Accounts Payable team within a global shared services environment. You’ll oversee day-to-day AP operations, manage team performance and drive continuous improvement across the Purchase to Pay function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support and manage the day-to-day activities of the Accounts Payable team
- Allocate workloads, monitor performance and ensure KPIs and SLAs are achieved
- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and credit notes
- Review payment runs, resolve supplier queries and oversee statement reconciliations
- Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements to increase accuracy and automation
- Provide coaching, training and ongoing development to team members
- Work collaboratively with Finance, Procurement and wider departments to improve P2P processes
- Support internal and external audit requirements
Who We’re Looking For
- Extensive Accounts Payable experience, ideally within a shared services environment
- Previous experience managing and developing an AP team
- Strong understanding of Purchase to Pay processes, KPIs and SLAs
- Experience driving process improvements and leading cross-functional projects
- Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems
- Experience using Concur would be advantageous
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
