You will provide essential administrative and operational support, helping to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day office activities across multiple sites.

Working closely with Office Manager and external providers, you will help coordinate facilities, events, visitors and general office requirements.

Please note, this is a full-time, temporary position paid on a weekly PAYE basis and requires an immediate start. Unfortunately, lengthy notice periods cannot be accommodated.

Temporary Office Administrator Responsibilities

  • Working closely with Office Manager to coordinate the smooth and efficient running of daily office operations across multiple sites.
  • Coordinating visitor schedules and making arrangements for meeting rooms, catering, parking and transport.
  • Reporting, monitoring and following up on maintenance, security and equipment issues, working closely with external suppliers and service providers.
  • Assisting with the organisation and delivery of company-wide events, training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities.
  • Providing comprehensive administrative support, including managing post and couriers, arranging printing, ordering stationery and maintaining office stock levels.
  • Maintaining office procedures, records and documentation across internal platforms, while also providing support on ad hoc projects such as office set-ups.
  • Helping to maintain a professional, clean, tidy and well-stocked office environment by coordinating with relevant service providers.
  • Providing general administrative and operational support to ensure the wider team can work effectively and efficiently.

Temporary Office Administrator Experience Essentials

  • Previous experience in office administration, office coordination, facilities management or a similar administrative role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with colleagues, suppliers and external providers.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise competing demands.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience using office management systems or internal platforms such as Confluence would be desirable.
  • A valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for this role.

Location

The role will be based primarily in Abingdon, with some travel required to other sites within Oxfordshire. Reliable transport is therefore essential to support the requirements of this fully office-based position.
