Overview
In this role, you will help clients optimise technology value through sourcing and procurement excellence. You’ll work within Deloitte’s Technology, Strategy & Transformation to design and deliver sourcing strategies, manage supplier ecosystems, and enable cost reduction. You’ll collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams to translate business needs into practical supplier arrangements and commercial models. The position offers exposure to large-scale technology projects and a pathway to develop as a specialist in technology sourcing. Responsibilities
- Design and deliver programmes to manage vendors, data, integrations, and tooling
- Define and execute sourcing strategies, including restructuring large supplier deals and negotiations
- Leverage third-party markets to accelerate value for the client
- Support clients in sourcing the required skills and competencies (ups k upskilling, partnering, in-source, or collaboration)
- Define and manage strategies to transition clients between providers
- Deliver commercial management and cost-reduction services for clients
- Support business and practice development for the Sourcing Advisory capability
- Act as a subject matter expert within Deloitte and the UK Global capability
Key requirements
- Demonstrable experience leading complex technology sourcing or procurement projects from strategy through contract award
- Experience developing sourcing strategies for technology services, software, cloud, infrastructure or managed services
- Experience managing RFI, RFP, Competitive Dialogue, Competitive Procedure with Negotiation or equivalent
- Experience supporting commercial negotiations with technology suppliers leading to measurable client benefits
- Understanding of technology contracting principles (SLAs, service credits, benchmarking, change control, exit provisions)
- Ability to develop business cases, commercial models and cost reduction opportunities
- Experience managing multi-stakeholder workstreams and complex programmes
- Ability to interpret and present technical information to governance bodies
- Comfort with technology concepts and advising senior stakeholders
- Experience collaborating in inclusive, team-based environments
- Desirables: UK/Irish public sector procurement experience; professional qualifications such as CIPS or CCS
