Overview
As Director, Corporate Affairs & Communications, you translate BeOne’s global strategy for the UK & Ireland, shaping stakeholder engagement and public messaging. You work with the affiliate team and European/global CA groups to advance corporate affairs targets and protect the company’s reputation. You lead patient advocacy and public affairs initiatives, driving awareness and access in haemato-oncology. This role offers strategic influence, cross-functional collaboration, and the chance to impact cancer care in the UK & Ireland.
Responsibilities
- Set and execute the Corporate Affairs & Communications strategy for the UK & Ireland, including government relations and public affairs
- Build and maintain relationships with government bodies, healthcare organizations, trade associations, medical societies, and patient groups (haematology/oncology)
- Lead strategic initiatives with stakeholders and co-create local vision, mission, and strategy with leadership
- Enhance BeOne’s reputation and develop messaging to support business priorities
- Equip leaders to engage stakeholders confidently; raise GM visibility as a voice in oncology
- Oversee internal communications and employee engagement, recognizing milestones and managing change
- Develop locally the patient advocacy strategy and partnerships to enable patient access
- Lead patient-facing campaigns to raise disease awareness and accelerate media/digital outreach
- Manage public/government affairs strategies, build trusted relationships with policymakers and trade bodies
- Monitor healthcare developments relevant to strategy and ensure regulatory compliance across areas
- Plan, manage, and monitor the CA expense budget; identify beneficial agencies/tools
- Coordinate CA projects with admin support; measure impact via defined metrics
- Collaborate with Global/European CA teams and cross-functional departments; align with leadership
- Ensure ethical conduct and compliance with BeOne standards and local laws
Key requirements
- 15 years of corporate affairs experience with strong communications background
- Scientific education and/or related experience; degree in communications/PR, public health/policy, or MBA
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory frameworks and stakeholder engagement
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven success in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment
- Knowledge of haemato-oncology markets

- English and local language fluency; other major European language advantageous
