Responsibilities

  • Deliver end-to-end fire engineering work (CFD, evacuation modelling, etc.) with limited senior oversight
  • Manage design projects and review colleagues’ work
  • Apply experience across sectors with emphasis on UK regulations and markets
  • Develop novel approaches to solving problems beyond standard procedures
  • Participate in interdisciplinary deliverable reviews
  • Lead cost estimation for technical project efforts
  • Oversee Performance & Review process for junior engineers with SMART goals
  • Mentor less experienced staff towards Chartership

Key requirements

  • Degree or professional qualification in a relevant field
  • Chartered status (CEng) in Fire Engineering or related discipline
  • Experience in a similar consultancy or relevant business
  • Experience managing fire engineering aspects of small to medium design projects within time and budget
  • Ability to guide entry-level fire engineers
  • Experience preparing fee proposals and task variations
