Senior Manager – Tax Governance Services

Overview

In this Senior Manager role, you will lead Tax Governance Services across the North, shaping client relationships and high-quality delivery. You’ll build a local team and contribute to a connected national practice, while developing new propositions in response to regulatory change. Your work combines tax, technology, systems and processes to strengthen governance for clients. You will also guide responsible AI adoption in tax and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive growth and value.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen and manage relationships with current and new clients to identify value-added governance support
• Oversee delivery of high-impact tax governance services with clear focus on client outcomes
• Build and develop the local Tax Governance Services team and contribute to a connected national practice
• Coach and support colleagues, enabling learning, collaboration and career development
• Develop practical new tax governance propositions responding to regulatory change and client needs
• Support responsible adoption of artificial intelligence within tax services with governance and risk oversight
• Integrate tax, technology, systems and processes to improve clients’ governance arrangements
• Contribute to business growth through commercial leadership and external networks

Key requirements

• Demonstrable tax governance experience gained in-house, professional services, or HMRC with evidence of applying it to client challenges
• Experience leading and developing client relationships with ability to manage expectations and deliver outcomes
• Proven ability to lead, coach or develop teams and foster collaboration
• Commercial mindset with track record of identifying opportunities and supporting growth
• Knowledge of tax technology, systems and processes and applying this to governance and risk
• Clear written and verbal communication skills capable of explaining complex governance matters to varied audiences
