Migration Business Analyst

Overview

In this interim role you will lead hands-on migration delivery for a wealth management/banking platform, driving the end-to-end transfer of client assets, data and processes under tight deadlines. You will work with Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance and Front Office to ensure seamless integration and robust controls during the transition. The role focuses on solving data and system migration challenges with minimal guidance, delivering rapid value. This opportunity lets you shape critical migrations in a high-velocity, post-acquisition context.

Responsibilities

• Drive practical migration delivery and day-to-day execution of client assets, accounts, data and related processes
• Onboard new tasks, system workflows and requirements quickly to deliver value with minimal hand-holding
• Ensure migrations adhere to internal processes and establish robust operational controls to prevent data loss or gaps
• Interrogate legacy and target platforms, map data fields and ensure seamless system integration
• Proactively identify and resolve data discrepancies and integration issues
• Oversee detailed data mapping and asset reconciliation to align incoming books with the target platform
• Collaborate with Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Finance and Front Office across the migration lifecycle

Key requirements

• Proven platform migration track record in wealth management or banking
• Strong ability to work with complex databases, platform architectures and data structures
• Experience identifying root causes of data/system mismatches and implementing robust fixes
• Ability to absorb technical information quickly and execute tasks in a fast-moving environment
• Background in Wealth Management, Banking, or Asset Management is essential
• Understanding of custody operations and products and migration of cash, stock and equities
• Data reconciliation and data mapping capabilities
