Programme Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead and support technically challenging development and production projects within the Power team, guiding cross‑functional groups to meet milestones. You will cultivate strong relationships with customers and suppliers, ensuring on-time delivery and high-quality outcomes. You’ll work closely with the Advanced Products unit to spot opportunities and drive customer value, all within a collaborative, results‑oriented culture. This position offers international exposure, hands-on project leadership, and a clear impact on programs that shape defence solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional Integrated Project Teams to track and deliver customer milestones
• Establish and grow relationships with new and existing customers
• Deliver projects on time, within budget and to quality standards
• Identify and pursue new opportunities in collaboration with the wider company
• Provide stakeholder-facing reporting and ensure customer satisfaction
• Support risk and opportunity management to protect project value
• Oversee scope management and alignment with customer requirements
• Lead and develop multi‑disciplinary teams to achieve goals

Key requirements

• Degree qualified in a technical, manufacturing or project management related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Recognised project management qualification is highly desirable
• Proven track record of setting up and executing complex projects with P&L accountability
• Experience solving issues to bring projects to successful completion within cost and schedule constraints
• Strong scope management and ability to translate customer requirements into deliverables
• Ability to interpret performance data and make informed corrective actions
• Experience in project financial management and reporting
• Proven leadership of multi‑disciplinary teams
• Knowledge of risk and opportunity management techniques
