Full Stack Software Engineer

Overview

As a Full Stack Software Engineer at Roke, you will build mission-critical products for National Security customers. You will ship secure, reusable code, translate designs into robust architectures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including researchers and clients. You’ll work across data ingestion, stores, REST APIs, and UI components, applying emerging technologies to solve complex challenges. This role offers the chance to shape cutting-edge solutions that protect people, platforms and information, within a supportive, agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, secure code using a test-driven approach
• Create open-by-default, reusable code
• Translate logical designs into physical designs and produce detailed designs
• Document work using required standards and prototyping tools where appropriate
• Work with emerging technologies and identify appropriate patterns
• Integrate API/UI components with data stores and existing APIs
• Maintain and develop Data Ingest, Data Stores and REST APIs
• Participate in sprint ceremonies and agile rituals
• Assist the team to understand upcoming API features and their impact
• Collaborate with user researchers and represent users internally
• Explain the difference between user needs and the desires of the user

Key requirements

• Experience in full-stack development
