Lead/ Supervising Building Services Engineer

Overview

In this role you lead on-site building services maintenance on a large static site in Swindon. You will supervise engineers, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure strong health and safety compliance. You provide technical support, sign off risk assessments and method statements, and engage with the client in meetings. The role offers a 40-hour week, overtime, pension, and a clear focus on delivering safe, reliable building services performance.

Responsibilities

• Toolbox talks with the client
• Plan on-site engineers and materials
• Sign off risk assessments
• Handle method statements
• Manage subcontractors
• Provide technical support to client and engineers
• Internal audits of subcontractors and on-site engineers
• Attend client meetings to provide technical support to managers

Key requirements

• Strong building services maintenance background
• Experience as a supervising engineer
• Very strong health and safety knowledge
• Electrician with qualification (preferably with test and inspection) or Mechanical engineer with NVQ mechanical (not plumbing)
• Full UK driving licence preferred
