Overview

In this role you will optimise and validate manufacturing processes for electronic assemblies, driving continuous improvement and supporting new product introductions. You will collaborate with R&D, Production, Design, Quality and Supply Chain to ensure efficient, cost-effective, high-quality production. The role focuses on problem-solving on the line, process validation, and documentation to enable scalable manufacturing. You will contribute to DFM/ DFA reviews, risk assessments, and Lean/Six Sigma initiatives to lift performance and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and improve manufacturing processes for electronic assemblies and products
  • Line-level problem solving, fault finding and structured analysis to identify root causes
  • Coordinate with manufacturing and supply teams to drive sustainable corrective actions
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities including process validation and production readiness
  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions and process flows
  • Assist in selection, installation and optimization of production equipment and tooling
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
  • Ensure DFM & DFA criteria are met through design reviews
  • Review/update SOPs and manufacturing standard times; manage configuration control
  • Write and review process FMEA, control plans and risk assessments; close identified actions
  • Develop mid-to-long range improvement plans with stakeholders

Key requirements

  • Degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing environment
  • Experience with process improvement and problem-solving methodologies
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics and manufacturing documentation
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong analytical and organisational abilities
  • Eligibility to obtain SC Clearance
