Senior Network Operations Engineer, Sovereign Operations

Overview

As a Network Operations Engineer, you will design, deploy, and operate private cloud networks for critical UK customers. You’ll automate changes, monitor performance, and ensure reliable, secure connectivity across traditional and software-defined networks in Kubernetes environments. You will collaborate with Infrastructure Engineering and product teams to continuously improve technology and support cross-product integrations. This is a hands-on role with on-call duties, focused on keeping services up and secure. You’ll play a key part in delivering high-security private cloud deployments for government-aligned objectives.

Responsibilities

• design, deploy, operate and optimize private cloud networks for critical customers
• automate changes and implement monitoring across core network components
• support both traditional and software-defined networking within a Kubernetes environment
• troubleshoot infrastructure problems and provide operational guidance in customer environments
• participate in on-call rotations to resolve incidents quickly
• collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate and evolve networking solutions from inception to deployment

Key requirements

• Bachelor in Computer Science, Computer Networking, Information Security, or related field
• 6 years of experience with IP networking, ISPs, L2-L7 protocols, BGP, or network troubleshooting
• experience designing and implementing resilient, secure networks
• active or ability to obtain DV UK security clearance
• British citizen
