Staff Technical Lead Manager

Overview

In this role, you lead and shape LiveRamp’s Identity Engine, a first‑party identity resolution platform. You’ll guide the backend architecture and roadmap while managing a high‑performing engineering team across large-scale, configuration‑driven workloads on GCP and AWS. You’ll partner with Product Management to align technical feasibility with strategy and contribute as a hands-on IC on complex challenges. This is a chance to impact how enterprises build a persistent customer graph, accelerate deployment timelines, and advance privacy‑centric data use.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for Identity Engine
• Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team with a culture of excellence
• Oversee data preparation, resolution, and export capabilities at scale
• Resolve cross‑team issues and ensure timely, quality delivery with dependencies
• Lead 12‑month product planning and prioritize strategic initiatives
• Serve as primary technical liaison to Product Management for feasibility and alignment
• Identify, hire, and develop strategic engineering skills
• Maintain a significant IC component (~50% time) focusing on architecture and code quality reviews

Key requirements

• 2+ years of proven leadership delivering products as technical lead
• 8+ years of hands-on development experience (Java or JVM languages)
• Experience driving complex designs and architecture improvements across multiple teams
• Track record in product/Service design and vision within engineering and client needs
• Mentorship of junior engineers and contribution to talent development at Staff level and above
• Strong communication skills and concise information sharing
• Knowledge of adTech space and identifiers is a plus
• Experience with large-scale distributed data processing and cloud data infrastructure (GCP and AWS)
