Front-End & AI Developer

Overview

In this role you will help shape the next generation of AI-powered digital experiences for East West Rail. You will work in the Data Centre of Excellence, building modern web apps and AI-enabled solutions that integrate data, automation and Microsoft technologies. You will partner with the AI Lead and Azure specialists to drive adoption of Copilot tools across the business. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role with real impact on how communities benefit from the railway project.

Responsibilities

• Design and build modern, responsive web applications and interfaces
• Create AI-powered user experiences with Microsoft AI technologies, Copilot Studio and Foundry agents
• Develop secure, scalable solutions using Microsoft technologies, APIs and Azure services
• Deliver dashboards and embedded analytics from enterprise data
• Collaborate with Power Platform specialists for seamless experiences across technologies
• Support AI solution development, testing, documentation and user adoption
• Contribute to agile delivery, code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement
• Establish reusable components and best practices for citizen development and AI adoption

Key requirements

• Strong front-end development experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Experience with modern frameworks (React, Angular)
• Passion for accessible, user-focused, visually engaging interfaces
• Knowledge of web app development, APIs and cloud technologies
• Experience with GitHub and collaborative development practices
• Interest in AI technologies and their impact on UX and productivity
• Knowledge of Azure services and integration approaches
• Experience with dashboards, analytics or data-driven apps
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (advantageous)
• Willingness to learn AWS technologies
