Operations Manager

Overview

As Operations Manager, you will oversee day-to-day maintenance delivery within the water sector, directing field operations to meet service targets. You’ll work within the MEICA and capital maintenance domain, supporting the Contract Manager with reporting and RAMS, while ensuring safe systems of work. This role anchors the London Tideway Tunnel maintenance delivery, combining leadership with hands-on planning in a fast-paced environment. You help align operations with our safety-first, customer-focused culture and the broader mission of delivering essential infrastructure for life.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage day-to-day maintenance activities and field operations to achieve service targets
• Ensure field operatives follow the contractor’s safe system of work and safe practices
• Support the Contract Manager with maintenance reports and spares/consumables reports
• Oversee spares and consumables management and procurement
• Attend meetings with the Service Manager and others as required
• Assist in preparing RAMS for works
• Contribute to reporting and governance for maintenance delivery
• Support major projects such as the London Tideway Tunnel maintenance delivery
• Collaborate with MEICA team and other business units to meet contractual obligations

Key requirements

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in maintenance contracts of similar value and complexity (utilities, water or infrastructure)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing multi-discipline maintenance operatives
• NEBOSH certificate
• SSSTS
• CSCS
• Valid driving licence
• Proven track record in maintenance planning and leadership within a contract-based environment
