Overview

As Director of Finance – International, you will lead finance across EMEA and APAC from London, ensuring robust accounting, reporting, controls, and tax compliance. You will partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to support growth, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment. You drive financial integrity, streamline reporting, and scale processes across multiple jurisdictions. You’ll shape regional finance operations while balancing strategic oversight with hands-on execution. Responsibilities

  • Lead accounting and financial reporting across EMEA & APAC, ensuring alignment with group policies and standards
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual reporting cycles; ensure accurate statutory and management reporting across jurisdictions
  • Own regional consolidation and support global reporting requirements
  • Maintain strong financial controls, balance sheet integrity, and governance
  • Drive finance systems enhancements, automation, and process improvements for scalability and efficiency
  • Partner with regional leadership and FP&A to support commercial decision-making and performance
  • Provide hands-on financial support to project and deal teams, including invoicing tax guidance and cash/work capital management
  • Oversee payroll operations across multiple jurisdictions for compliance and timely processing
  • Manage statutory reporting and lead audits; coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, reforecasting, risk identification, and proactive financial recommendations
  • Foster collaboration across finance, operations and executive teams; support scalable processes and succession planning

Key requirements

  • Proven experience across multiple jurisdictions within global corporate structures
  • Understanding of reporting into a US parent company or global HQ
  • Strong technical accounting expertise across financial reporting, controls, audit, tax and regulatory compliance in international settings
  • Experience in fast-paced, deal-oriented environments; sectors: professional services, financial services, advisory or investment-related
  • Ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders across international regions
  • Knowledge of private equity-backed, transformational or high-growth settings is advantageous
