Overview

In this role you coordinate the external consultant team across project procurement stages (land, planning, commercial, production, sales, adoptions) and support the project team to keep disciplines aligned. You manage design packages, approvals and regulatory submissions, and resolve issues with consultants to keep programmes on track. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure compliant, integrated delivery. Responsibilities

  • Clear planning conditions and S106 obligations; handle S73/S96a changes if needed
  • Prepare design tenders, review bids, appoint consultants per Operating Framework
  • Create and maintain a detailed design programme aligned with PMIP dates
  • Produce comprehensive, coordinated drawing packages for tender/construction; lead design team meetings
  • Submit and secure Building Regulations approvals; clear regulatory conditions to enable CMLs
  • Understand environmental/ecological constraints and mitigate to enable development
  • Assess supplier/manufacturer information and ensure compliance (HQI, Lifetime Homes, Building for Life, DQS)
  • Review sales literature for technical accuracy against drawings; maintain design-change records
  • Respond to tender queries and assess value engineering proposals; ensure CDM/EMS processes are followed
  • Secure S278, S38, S104, S106, S185 agreements as required; maintain fee trackers and monthly cost movement reports
  • Manage site CDM/EMS start and close-out procedures; resolve site queries with project team
  • Support site sales to ensure accuracy of sale information

Key requirements

  • Knowledge of full development/technical process
  • Previous experience as Assistant Technical Coordinator or Technical Coordinator in a development organisation preferred
  • Industry-related qualification
  • Attained or working towards RICS, CIOB, ICE, or RIBA accreditation
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work to programme
  • Ability to work on own initiative and manage external consultants
