Overview
In this role you will own a diverse client portfolio within a growing Central London practice, delivering statutory accounts, tax compliance and broader business advisory work. You will lead and develop a team, coach junior staff, and manage workflows, deadlines and billing. You will engage with owner-managed and corporate clients, present results and KPI insights, and identify opportunities to broaden services. This position combines technical oversight with client management and commercial accountability in a collaborative, growth-oriented firm.

Responsibilities
- Manage a varied portfolio of owner-managed and corporate clients
- Review statutory accounts and other financial reports
- Oversee client deadlines, workflow and resource allocation
- Manage WIP, budgets and billing across the portfolio
- Attend client meetings to present results, KPIs and commercial advice
- Identify opportunities to introduce clients to additional services
- Support and develop junior team members through coaching and mentoring
- Contribute to departmental improvements and wider firm initiatives
Key requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- At least two years’ experience at Manager level in business services or accounts division of an accountancy firm
- Strong portfolio management experience is advantageous
- Ability to review statutory accounts and compliance work
- Experience with WIP, billing and workflow management
- Confident client-facing and relationship-building skills
- Experience coaching and mentoring junior team members
- Good commercial awareness and ability to identify opportunities
