Overview
In this role you lead complex NPI programmes at Teledyne Qioptiq, aligning customer needs with technical delivery, commercial commitments and operations. You drive integrated planning, risk management and cross-functional execution to ensure safe, predictable and profitable outcomes. You’ll work across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and commercial teams, guiding programmes from bid to transition to production. This position offers impact in advancing high-performance electro-optic solutions for defence, aerospace and commercial applications.
Responsibilities
- Lead NPI programmes from bid through design, development, qualification, production readiness and transition to full-rate production
- Create and maintain integrated plans, milestones, budgets, forecasts and resource assumptions
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across optical, mechanical, electronics, systems, test, manufacturing, quality, procurement, operations, finance and commercial
- Identify and manage risks, issues, opportunities and changes with mitigation and contingency plans
- Manage customer and internal stakeholder interfaces, ensuring alignment on requirements, deliverables and contractual obligations
- Support business winning activities including bid planning, estimating and proposal handover to delivery
- Oversee commercial/financial performance, budget control, change requests and progress against objectives
- Support controlled transition to manufacture and BAU operations for repeatable delivery
- Contribute to continuous improvement of programme management methods, tools, standards and team capability

- Practical planning, scheduling, cost control, risk/issue management, change control and status reporting
- Confident communication with customers and senior stakeholders, clearly conveying difficult messages
- Commercial awareness of how scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality and contractual commitments interact
