Project Controls Specialists (all levels) – Performance & Reporting

Overview

In this PMO role, you will support the Midlands region by delivering planning, scheduling, performance reporting and risk management services to major programmes. You will work with project delivery teams and reference data-driven practices to establish robust reporting baselines and governance. You’ll flex across regional projects, coaching others and contributing to communities of practice. This opportunity combines regional mobility with opportunities to shape client reporting and performance measures.

Responsibilities

• Tailor reporting processes to client needs and align with best practice
• Deliver performance and reporting management plans based on project requirements
• Promote Performance Reporting & Analytics within project and programme teams
• Implement, administer, and maintain reporting systems and procedures to track controls performance
• Establish a robust Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) with the Integrated Project Team and support change control
• Roll out reporting calendars to ensure consistent performance data cadence
• Define data flows for information management systems and support digital teams’ implementation
• Lead development, analysis and maintenance of corporate datasets
• Provide guidance on data quality to various data providers
• Lead material preparation for governance across projects, programmes, portfolios and enterprise
• Identify performance recovery recommendations for stakeholders to support decision making
• Support project teams in developing KPIs and a performance measures dictionary
• Develop performance reports and dashboards with recommendations for stakeholders
• Prepare materials for client governance forums and performance reviews
• Contribute to national/regional Performance & Reporting communities including CoPs
• Train and coach clients and junior team members on performance and reporting processes

Key requirements

• Experience in a project or programme environment
• Understanding of how Project Controls (Scheduling, Cost Control, Change Control) interact with Reporting
• Track record in identifying reporting and data requirements using appropriate tools
• Awareness of Project Controls software (Primavera P6, Active Risk Manager, Ecosys) is desirable
• Experience in using data analysis tools (Power BI)
