Analytical Chemist Metabolomics

Overview

In this role you will lead high-throughput LC-MS metabolomics workflows to support the development of Syngenta active ingredients. You will shape experimental programs, troubleshoot analytical methods, and coordinate sample pipelines to meet tight deadlines, collaborating across matrix teams. You’ll deliver high-quality data and guide teammates, contributing to impactful product safety and discovery work. Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the LC-MS metabolomics workflow within high-throughput pipelines
• Deliver high-quality metabolomics data within agreed timelines and coordinate sample logistics, instrument scheduling, and data transfer
• Troubleshoot analytical issues and support method and sample prep development
• Ensure data quality and QA/QC adherence, document metadata and observations for downstream processing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor colleagues on technical topics

Key requirements

• Degree in Chemistry, Metabolomics, or related field with LC-MS experience (preferably HRAM)
• Proven ability to manage and process large-scale sample sets with high precision
• Strong proactive troubleshooting skills for analytical methods and instrumentation
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to coordinate workflows and convey data
