Quantity Surveyor Rail Systems

Overview

In this role you will support the commercial delivery of HS2 rail systems projects within a specialist consultancy. You will work in the rail systems commercial team to manage post-contract commercial activities, cost assurance and package delivery, with options for strong estimators or pre-contract professionals to contribute. You’ll engage with cross-functional stakeholders and contribute to the progression from Professional/Consultant toward Associate level. This is a UK London-based opportunity offering clear career growth and a path to Chartered status where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Post-contract commercial management of rail systems packages
• Cost assurance activities across projects
• Commercial delivery of signalling, telecoms, E&P and related systems
• Support estimating and pre-contract activities as needed
• Stakeholder management and communication with clients and internal teams

Key requirements

• Experience in rail systems packages (signalling, telecoms, E&P or similar)
• Background in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, cost assurance or estimating
• Strong understanding of commercial and cost management principles
• Experience in a consultancy, client, contractor or major rail programme environment
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification
