Responsibilities
- Lead detailed structural surveys and defect diagnosis for complex/high‑risk issues
- Develop practical, proportionate structural solutions and manage technical specifications
- Oversee delivery of high‑value repair, strengthening and improvement works
- Manage contractor performance and on‑site delivery to meet safety and technical standards
- Provide expert advice on structural risk and support strategic decision‑making
- Mentor junior staff and promote best practice across engineering and property functions
Key requirements
- Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
- Professional membership or eligibility (e.g., IStructE)
- Experience leading complex or high‑value structural works
- Strong knowledge of structural design, defect diagnosis and contract management
- Good communication skills and pragmatic risk management
- Fluency in English (customer-facing role requirement)
