Overview
In this role you join Clyde & Co’s global Aviation Finance practice in London to support advanced aircraft finance and leasing transactions. You’ll work on cross-border deals, drafting and negotiating documents, and managing closings with senior lawyers across time zones. The role blends transactional work with exposure to regulatory and commercial drivers in aviation, offering client-facing responsibility and opportunities for growth. You will contribute to business development and knowledge sharing within a leading, integrated aviation team.
Responsibilities
- Lead drafting and negotiation of transaction documents
- Support on wide range of cross-border aircraft finance and leasing transactions
- Manage workstreams and client relationships with increasing autonomy
- Coordinate closings across multiple time zones
- Contribute to business development and knowledge sharing
- Potential involvement in contentious aviation disputes such as lease enforcement or commercial litigation
Key requirements
- Up to 5 years’ PQE in aviation finance or related asset finance
- Demonstrated ability to lead on drafting and negotiation of key documents
- Commercial awareness and proactive client service and business development
- Strong academic background and excellent communication skills
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to mentor trainees and junior team members
- Qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales or another relevant jurisdiction
