Overview

In this role you will drive integrated project scheduling and cost controls to support fast-paced design and construction programs. You work with project managers and accountants to baseline plans, monitor performance, and forecast outcomes that align with client objectives. You’ll handle change management, cash flow, and reporting to enable timely decision making and project success. This position offers meaningful impact across a variety of project types within a collaborative program controls team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain integrated schedules and cost control systems aligned with project objectives
  • Establish baseline schedules and control budgets with Project Managers and Project Accountant
  • Update schedules and track costs, forecast, and analyze variances
  • Prepare cash flow and budget/schedule forecasts, ensuring data consistency
  • Monitor scope, schedule, and cost performance and recommend corrective actions
  • Analyze schedule (critical path, delays, float) and cost performance (earned value, variances)
  • Support change management, evaluating schedule and cost impacts and processing change orders
  • Prepare backup for invoices with Project Accountant
  • Support monthly reports with Project Managers
  • Interface with project teams and subs on scheduling and cost management
  • Implement and maintain project control processes (progress measurement, forecasting, change control, reporting)
  • Document variances, trends, and risks affecting schedule and budget
  • Maintain centralized data accuracy for reliable reporting

Key requirements

  • Strong understanding of CPM scheduling and earned value management (EVM)
  • 10+ years in project controls for scheduling and cost controls, preferably in engineering/construction
  • Ability to integrate cost and schedule data for performance insights and forecasts
  • Experience in creating resource-loaded, cost-integrated schedules and updating monthly costs/resources
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Independent and collaborative work style
  • Proactive, results-driven mindset with risk awareness
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and adapt to changing priorities
  • Advanced Primavera P6 for scheduling, resource loading, and cost integration
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and earned value analysis
  • Familiarity with project management systems such as SharePoint, Trimble Unity Construct, Aconex; proficient in Excel, Word
