Overview
In this role, you lead structural design efforts for water and wastewater infrastructure, from concept to construction. You will work with clients and cross-functional teams to secure buy-in and contribute to AECOM’s technical capabilities. You’ll produce and review calculations, drawings, and reports while managing project budgets and schedules. You’ll explore new methods and mentor junior staff to drive technical excellence. Responsibilities
- Design and review structural elements for water and wastewater assets from concept through construction
- Collaborate with clients and AECOM teams to gain stakeholder buy-in and contribute to technical capability
- Produce and review deliverables (calculations, drawings, technical reports) to required standards
- Deliver projects within budget, programme, and quality targets, and support budget/programme preparation
- Explore innovative methods and forward-thinking approaches
- Mentor and supervise junior staff, delegating tasks and guiding technical direction
Key requirements
- Civil or Structural Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
- Experience in structural analysis and design, especially reinforced concrete and steel structures
- Experience with BIM and 3D design tools in a digital delivery environment
- Membership or working toward membership of ICE or IStructE
