Overview
As a Senior Landscape Planner at AECOM you contribute to major regional and global projects spanning regeneration, energy transition and infrastructure. You work within a UK&I landscape team to shape designs from early stages and deliver landscape benefits aligned with net zero and social impact. You collaborate across disciplines to create buildable, cost-efficient solutions and mentor junior staff. Responsibilities
- Perform site surveys and analysis using innovative methods to inform outcomes
- Produce and oversee reports, drawings, and technical documents across development stages
- Communicate clearly; draft concise technical reports and participate in meetings and workshops
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior staff, including as a Chartership mentor
- Collaborate iteratively with multi-disciplinary teams to enhance project delivery
- Assist Leads with project management tasks including financial and schedule oversight
- Adhere to AECOM procedures and apply them to projects
Key requirements
- Technically competent in preparing LVIAs and TVIAs and evidence-base documents
- Knowledge of the UK planning system related to landscape architecture
- Understanding of project management, including financial control and programme management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Competent in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Cloud (preferred)
- Experience with ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civils 3D, Revit, LSS or ProjectWise
- Landscape Institute accredited Bachelor’s, Diploma and/or Master’s in Landscape Architecture
- Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI)
