Overview

In this Principal Product Designer role, you will shape and own the core product experience from scratch, partnering with leadership, product, and engineering to define direction. You’ll bring craft, structure, and insight to complex betting markets, delivering clear, elegant interfaces across multiple platforms. You work in an open, ambiguity-rich environment to elevate user understanding and drive product impact. This is a hands-on, strategic role at a fast-paced, customer-first tech business.

Responsibilities

  • Design autonomously from scratch and drive design work with executives, product, and engineering.
  • Create simple, elegant interfaces and end-to-end flows from wireframes to prototypes.
  • Make complex prediction/betting concepts accessible, intuitive, and engaging.
  • Prototype rapidly using tools like Figma, Cursor, and light coding to validate ideas.
  • Conduct user research and guerrilla testing to inform product direction.
  • Enhance and unify the design system across products for cohesion as the product grows.
  • Model best thinking, processes, and cross-functional collaboration to elevate the team.
  • Own the design process end-to-end, including shaping product narratives and shipping precise interfaces.

Key requirements

  • 6+ years designing consumer products, preferably at early-stage companies
  • Portfolio demonstrating systemic thinking and attention to detail
  • Expertise in iOS, Android, and web design
  • Strong visual/interaction skills and fluency with Figma and AI-coding tools (Cursor, v0)
  • Clear, thoughtful communication in presenting work and making cases
  • Strong ownership mindset and ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Strategic product thinking and ability to articulate design logic
  • Understanding of the technical implications of design choices
  • Focus on UX and understanding of human behavior
