Senior Estimators – Water Sector

Overview

As Senior Estimator, you will lead the production of accurate estimates for water-sector projects and major programmes, guiding bid support and promoting estimating best practices. You will collaborate with regional teams to deliver multi-disciplinary estimates from order of magnitude to detailed costing, shaping commercial decisions. You’ll mentor peers, support department objectives, and stay current with technical developments to provide trusted guidance. Responsibilities

• Lead production of estimates for complex projects/programmes
• Promote estimating best practices within the team
• Support departmental objectives and bids for new work
• Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff
• Manage or assist in staff management where appropriate
• Develop estimates for multi-disciplinary projects and maintain technical currency

Key requirements

• High-standard qualification in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with relevant experience
• Water sector estimating experience
• Experience with estimating software packages
• Chartered status or working towards chartered status (e.g., RICS/CIOB)
• Desirable membership in professional bodies like RICS/CIOB/A. Cost E.
