Finance Systems AI/Automation Engineer

Overview

As an AI Automation Engineer, you will design and deploy AI-enabled automation for FP&A workflows in a finance-focused team. You’ll build production-ready solutions that reduce manual effort and improve data quality, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders. The role combines coding, data pipelines, and API-driven integrations to embed AI into finance processes. Your work will accelerate insight generation and support scalable, reliable financial reporting with responsible AI practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-driven automation solutions for FP&A workflows
• Automate monthly reporting production, forecast prep and consolidation, data validation, and first-draft financial analysis
• Build and maintain data pipelines to extract, transform, and load finance data between systems
• Develop integrations using APIs to connect finance systems, reporting tools, and AI services
• Prototype solutions quickly and move them into production with proper controls
• Debug, optimize, and enhance existing automation and reporting solutions
• Embed AI capabilities into structured finance workflows (variance explanations, automated commentary, anomaly detection)
• Own full solution lifecycle from concept to deployment and maintenance

Key requirements

• Hands-on development experience with Python, SQL, or similar languages
• Experience building automation scripts, data pipelines, or system integrations
• Experience with APIs and structured data (JSON, REST)
• Demonstrated ability to independently design and implement technical solutions
• Experience working in Finance/FP&A, financial systems, or commercial finance environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
• Ability to debug and support production automation
• Experience embedding AI or advanced analytics into operational workflows
• Familiarity with finance systems, cloud-based platforms, and enterprise data environments
