Responsibilities

• Oversee input, peer review and verification of geotechnical data and analyses and design calculations
• Provide consultative advice to external partners across project life cycle
• Plan and manage geotechnical projects including schedules, coordination, budget
• Lead and support the Ground Engineering team to meet time and quality goals
• Build and maintain relationships with past, current, and prospective clients to sustain opportunities
• Take the Ground Engineering lead on multi-disciplinary project delivery
• Collaborate with Transport, Water, Energy and Buildings teams on project works and tenders
• Mentor and develop junior team members

Key requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology/Geology with 2:1 classification or higher
• Chartered status
• Strong knowledge of UK ground conditions and ground investigation practices
• Understanding of current geotechnical design codes, standards and best practices
• Ability to collaborate in project delivery, work-winning and client satisfaction
• Knowledge of ground conditions interpretation/parametric assessment for geotechnical design problems
• Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
• Effective networking to promote the AECOM brand
