Overview
As Head of Infrastructure, lead the strategy and delivery of the trading platform’s global infrastructure across cloud and on‑premises. You will own the end‑to‑end AWS migration, modernisation of legacy systems, and the long‑term engineering roadmap, while guiding a senior, autonomous team. You’ll collaborate with engineering, trading and risk groups to ensure highly available, low‑latency operations. This is a hands‑on leadership role with real impact on scale and reliability in a fast‑paced market‑making business.

Responsibilities
- Own infrastructure architecture across cloud, on‑prem and hybrid platforms
- Lead end‑to‑end AWS migration and modernisation strategy
- Build greenfield environments for trading and research workloads
- Design and operate highly available, low‑latency global infrastructure
- Take ownership of Microsoft services, Active Directory and core networking
- Engineer secure connectivity across firewalls, routing and multi‑site links
- Drive network security, segmentation and access control strategy
- Lead and grow a high‑performing infrastructure/DevOps team
- Partner closely with engineering, trading and risk functions
- Automate provisioning and deployment with IaC (CloudFormation/Terraform/Ansible)
- Scale monitoring, cost optimisation and system reliability in production
Key requirements
- 7+ years in infrastructure leadership within trading, market-making or high‑performance engineering environments
- Strong AWS architecture and hybrid (cloud + on‑prem) experience
- Deep networking background: routing, switching, low‑latency connectivity
- Strong understanding of reliability engineering and autoscaling systems
- Prior experience building and scaling teams in high‑performing environments
