Overview

In this role you support end-to-end manufacturing by handling materials, overseeing stock and dispatch, and ensuring safe, compliant operations. You will work cross-functionally with Production Planning to keep lines running and shipments on schedule, while maintaining audit-ready records and following safety SOPs. The position offers hands-on responsibilities in a fast-paced materials environment with room to grow through training and CI involvement. Responsibilities

  • Handle Goods In / Goods Out processes and ensure accurate material movement and labeling
  • Manage location transfers, periodic inventory counts, and stock movements across storage areas
  • Prepare, dispense, package, and label finished products for customer distribution
  • Collaborate with Production Planning to prioritize and dispatch shipments on schedule
  • Replenish critical chemicals and consumables to maintain active manufacturing lines
  • Perform basic analytical testing and quality verification of materials as needed
  • Follow H&S guidelines and SOPs; maintain audit-ready records; conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of material handling equipment and storage areas
  • Participate in site-wide Continuous Improvement (CI) projects and help optimize material handling procedures

Key requirements

  • GCSEs minimum (A-Levels advantageous)
  • Open to entry-level candidates; full training provided
  • Experience in warehouse operations or material handling is advantageous but not required
  • Basic inventory control system knowledge (SAP or Oracle would be strong plus)
  • Adherence to H&S policies and safe handling of chemicals
  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
  • Clear communication skills for cross-department liaison
  • Ability to perform hands-on material handling and adapt to shifting priorities
