Overview
In this Capital Consultant role within WTW’s UK P&C Consulting Practice, you design and implement capital modelling solutions for insurers to support capital strategy, reinsurance decisions and portfolio management. You’ll work with cross‑functional teams to develop MI and capital management capabilities and stay ahead of industry developments to add value beyond regulatory reporting. You will build client relationships, contribute to intellectual capital, and mentor junior staff. The role offers opportunities to influence client outcomes at scale and travel as needed.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate in multi‑specialism teams to develop and implement models and tools using the latest technology to address client needs
- Build trusted client relationships through effective communication and high‑quality project execution
- Demonstrate commitment to WTW professional standards in analyses and client communications
- Lead or contribute to the company’s intellectual capital and plans to bring it to market around capital modelling tools
- Support public reputation in a chosen specialism via articles and presentations
- Meet intellectual capital development goals and present proposals to potential clients to demonstrate value
- Leverage internal networks to obtain introductions and build supporters for the company’s products and services
- Build internal relationships and collaborate across cross‑functional teams
- Mentor and/or manage junior colleagues
- Assist in addressing clients’ business challenges by seeing the big picture across related practices
Key requirements
- Relevant experience in a capital modelling/management role in an insurance firm or consultancy
- Advocate for capital modelling adoption in business and new techniques
- Knowledge of main capital modelling platforms
- Background in coding and/or model building
- Experience with Igloo software (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and team skills
- Self‑starter with ability to work in ambiguity
- Strong analytical and creative skills
- Enjoy mentoring junior staff
- Ability to see the big picture and leverage related practices
