Site Manager Rail

Overview

In this role you will lead day-to-day site operations for rail construction projects in London, reporting to the Project/Package Manager. You’ll drive safety, compliance, and on-site deliverables while coordinating with clients and subcontractors. The position offers a clear path for progression within a successful main contractor’s rail division. You’ll operate in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment delivering quality works on time.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction activities within designated area or system
• Produce method statements, risk assessments, and early warnings; secure permits and licences
• Develop client relationships and issue reports
• Prepare and distribute daily progress reports to the Project Manager
• Ensure drawings and specifications provide sufficient, accurate information
• Order materials to support on-site works
• Strictly enforce Health & Safety procedures on site; conduct toolbox talks

Key requirements

• Track safety card
• SMSTS qualification
• CSCS certification
• Experience progressing from main contractor background
• HND or Degree or 5 years relevant experience
